Mr. Joe August Aue, 57, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at the Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie.
He was born March 10, 1949 in Sault St. Marie, Michigan, the son of Ernest H. and Dorothy Marie Davis Aue. He was reared in Joshua, TX where he graduated high school. He then attended the University of North Texas where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. On Dec. 20, 1976 he was married to Sophenia Martin. After their marriage they lived in San Antonio. In 1980 they moved to Lancaster and in 1999 moved to Palmer. He was a teacher with the Palmer ISD since 1998. He was a member of the Mt. View College Band and the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sophenia, of Ennis; five sons, Eric Aue of Germany, Frank Aue, James Aue, Charles Aue and David Aue all of Palmer; a daughter, Rachel Aue of Dallas; his parents, Ernest and Dorothy Aue of Gravatte, AR; two brothers, Frank Aue of Texas, Paul and his wife, Jamie Aue of Gravatte, AR; a sister and her husband, Mary and Steve Mitchell of Jefferson City, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Palmer High School Gym. Interment will follow in the Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the J.E. Keever Mortuary –
