Lynn Brooks, 51, died at her home in Sayville, New York on November 25 2003.
Lynn was born in Wenatchee to Kenneth and Frances Allen on May 7, 1952. Linda, as she was known until her marriage to Bill Brooks of Wenatchee in 1969, grew up in East Wenatchee and attended schools there and at Wenatchee Valley College. While living in Forest Grove, Oregon in the early 1970's, Lynn attended Pacific University and developed her talents as a professional model. She relocated to New York, NY in 1974, where she was associated with the Wilhelmina modeling agency. Lynn quickly became one of the most successful models in the country, and continued to do work in that field for many years. Possessing extraordinary beauty, grace and charm, Lynn was truly gifted and excelled at anything she chose to do. After moving to Sayville in 1985, Lynn continued her modeling career, and began an association with Group Seven, a market research consulting firm based on Long Island. Her generosity, humor, and warmth will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Davis of Kirkland, Washington; her husband Derrick Prendergast and daughter Sarah Prendergast, in Sayville; her mother, Frances Schrick of Wenatchee; her sister, Nancy Alexander of Brooklyn, New York; her brother, Scott Allen of Bainbridge Island, Washington; two grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
Services and internment at Evergreen Memorial Park in East Wenatchee is planned. A funeral service will be held in Lynn's honor, Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Jones & Jones Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Jones & Jones Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
