Wayman St Clair was born in 1859 in Benton Co, Oregon near what became the city of Corvallis. His father Wayman St Clair b1816 was 42 and his mother Mahala Johnson St Clair was just 25. His father Wayman had traveled to the 0regon Territory and established a Homestead there by 1850. In 1851 his father was appointed the Post Master for the then new village of Marysville some 15 miles south of Corvallis. Wayman Jr was married in 1878 and had one son and one daughter with M. Ella Atwood between 1879 and 1884. Ella passed away in 1889 so He then married Gertrude Heffelman later that year over in Corvallis, Oregon. He passed away in 1892 in Corvallis at the age of 33 and was laid to rest in this cemetery next to his beloved Ella. Gertrude later married a Robert Mergens in 1895. Her final resting place is not known. Wayman was this writers 1st Cousin, his father Wayman being the brother to my GG/grandfather. See Mem# 17006174
