JOHN RUSSELL TROEGER
John Russell Troeger, 68 of Utica, died Tuesday, Mar. 21, 1995 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
He was born July 1, 1926 in Sampsel, the son of John Russell and Elsie Mable (Paris) Troeger, Sr..
On May 27, 1950, he married Billie Lee Williams in Brookfield. She survives of the home.
Mr. Troeger attended the Brown rural school in Livingston County. He lived in Sampson Township for 31 years then moved to Utica where he resided for 37 years. Mr. Troeger served in the U.S. Army from 1944 until 1946.
He was employed for 19 years at the Midland Brick & Tile Co. in Utica. Mr. Troeger then worked for Churchill Truck Lines in Chillicothe as a mechanic until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Vern R. Glick Post No. 25, American Legion, in Chillicothe, and Teamster's Local Union No. 534.
Survivors also include two daughters, Linda L. Banner of Independence, and Kimberly A. Rees of Utica; a brother, Kenneth W. Troeger of Brookfield; two sisters, Lora M. Dowell of Chillicothe, and Betty S. Nelson of Trenton; and two granddaughters, Angela L. Banner of Independence, and Tatum L. Anderson of Utica.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral services will be Friday, Mar. 24, 1995 at Norman-Wagy-Gordon Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
