Frank Joseph Stumpf, 87, passed away June 4, 2008 at home surrounded by his family in Puyallup, WA. He was born to Anton and Katherine (Tschida) Stumpf on July 7, 1920 in Huff, ND. He served in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. Frank was a quiet, loving and caring man whose life centered on his family and his faith in God. He instilled these values in his children and taught them the importance of faith, love and family. His wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nature and music all brought joy to his days. Frank is survived by his wife Ann of 60 years and his 6 children; Linda (Dave) Lamb, Joyce (Chris) Taylor, Dennis (Cheryl) Stumpf, Kathy (Don) Knoben, Patty (Coy) Anglin and Sandy Stumpf. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Jennifer (Doug) Brandt, Coy (Amy) Anglin, Sean Taylor, Lyndi (Tim) Baublits, David Stumpf, Janet Lamb, Stephanie Taylor, Erin Stumpf, Tyler Anglin, Jordan, Daniel and Shannon Knoben, 6 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Mary Schreiner and Sabina Lockhart and 7 brothers: Mike, John, Tony, Andy, Phillip, Robert and Joe Stumpf. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Clara Stumpf and Frances Strand. A celebration of Frank's life will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 9th at Holy Disciples Church, 10425 187th St. E, Puyallup, WA. The Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, with the viewing from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Powers Funeral Home, 320 W. Pioneer Ave, Puyallup, WA. There will be a private interment at Tahoma Cemetery in Kent, WA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Holy Disciples building fund.
