K. Belseth funeral set for Monday

The funeral for Kenneth E. Belseth, 51, employee of Henningsen's Steel and Builders Associates, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Hogan-McKee Colonial Chapel. The Rev. David Anderson, assistant pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate.

Mr. Belseth was found dead in his car Friday in Winnebago Heights. He had made his home at 714 North Tyler.

Born Aug. 12, 1915, in Mitchell, S.D., he was the son of Carl and Ida Belseth. He attended Mason City schools and had been employed by Jacob E. Decker & Sons, Northwestern States Portland Cement Co. and Mason City Builders Supply.

He was married to Susie Beisel, Oct. 28, 1931, in Mason City. Surviving are his wife, two sons, Duane Belseth, Fairmont, Minn., and Eugene Belseth, Mason City, and two granddaughters, Lynn Marie and Lori Ann Belseth, both of Fairmont.

Three brothers, Orlando, Irving and Vernon Belseth, all of Mason City, and two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Arlene) Christensen, Mason City, and Loretta Stephens, Seattle, Wash., also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a grandson.

He was a member of the Teamsters' Union.

Pallbearers selected are Walter Pearce, John Hayward, Dale Karsjens, Merrill Parks, Robert Braun and Lyle Merfeld. Clayton Wornson will be the soloist; Marie Barta, organist. Mrs. Robert Braun and Mrs. Ardella Shannon will be in charge of flowers.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation at the chapel will be from 10 a.m. Sunday until the time of services.
