Cora Edith Edmonds Brewer, 86, passed away Sept. 8, 1997.
She was born May 14, 1911, the daughter of Ellis and Rosie Thomas Edmonds.
Mrs. Brewer lived in the Vandever, Tennessee community and was a member of Winesap Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors included her husband of 70 years, Virgil Brewer of Crossville; daughters, Virginia Brewer Smith and Imogene Brewer Smith, both of Crossville and Mildred Brewer Coleman of Nashville; grandchildren, Dexter Smith, Debbie Smith Wilson, Rhonda Smith Wyatt and Raymond Smith, all of Crossville, and Connie Brown Lucius of Nashville; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Jossie Belle Edmonds Hankins of Pikeville and Maggie Edmonds Myers of Crossville; and brothers, J.L. Edmonds of Graysville, TN and Jerry Edmonds of Crossville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Rosie Thomas Edmonds; grandson, Tommy Brown; brothers, Claude, Auce-Oscar, Hugh and Alfred Edmonds; and sister, Liza Edmonds Curtis.
Pallbearers were her great-grandsons, Shannon Smith, Chip Simmons, Brandon Lucius, Travis Wyatt, Bratcher Wilson and Michael Wilson.
