SAMUEL NEWLON BOBBITT, 88, of Huntington, WV., passed away Sunday, June 25, 2006, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be 11AM, Thursday, June 29, 2006, at HENSON MORTUARY, BARBOURSVILLE.

Officating at the service will be Mr. Bobbitts brother, the Rev. John W. Bobbitt. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was born October 18, 1917, in Eskdale, WV., son of the late Samuel McClung Bobbitt and Anna Newlon Bobbitt. He was a veteran of World War II, wounded in the Battle of St. Lo, France. He loved golf and was a member of Riviera Golf Club. He operated his own dry cleaning businesses in Huntington and Chesapeake, Ohio for more than 35 years. He was greatly loved by his family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Martin Bobbitt, and a sister, Jean B. Dunn.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Betty Bobbitt of Barboursville; granddaughter Anna Michelle Bobbitt of Barboursville; and brother, the Rev. John W. Bobbitt of Washington, D.C.
