Clyde Westphal, 63, of rural Greenfield, died at the Adair county Memorial hospital at 5:10 p.m. Saturday. His death followed a long illness.
Mr. Westphal was a farmer and had lived in Adair county all of his life.
Mr. Westphal is survived by his widow, Edna A. Westphal; a son, Earl Westphal of Belmond; two daughters, Mrs. Elbert Williams of Menlo and Mrs. Clifford Christensen of Nevada, Iowa; seven grandchildren; four stepsons; a stepdaughter; 13 grandchildren and three brothers, Oscar and Ralph Westphal of Greenfield and Frank Westphal of Orient.
