Mrs. Sophie Schellhorn

Funeral services for Mrs. Sophie Schellhorn, 80, of 1939 Belle Ave., will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Trinity Lutheran church in Waterloo, the Rev. Durwood Buchheim officiating.
Mrs. Schellhorn died at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Sartori Memorial hospital. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran cemetery in Tripoli. The casket will be opened at the cemetery.

Dahl funeral home has charge of arrangements.

She was born July 11, 1883 in Tripoli, the daughter of John and Sophie Hennings Zander.
She married August Schellhorn April 23, 1908, at Crane Creek. They farmed at Potter Siding for seven years and then farmed near Tripoli about 10 years before moving to town there.

Her husband died Dec. 4, 1938, and Mrs. Schellhorn lived with her daughter in Cedar Falls often since that time.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Waterloo.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Alfred Buhrow, 1939 Belle Ave.; one granddaughter, one brother, William Zander, Tripoli, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Hankner, Tripoli.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter in infancy, two brothers, and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Children's Home in Waverly or the American Cancer Society.
