DEATH OF JOHN H. LEHNHART
We have frequently mentioned the sickness (lung trouble) of Mr. Lehnhart. Death relieved him from pain and care on Wednesday evening at five o'clock. Mr. Lehnhart was the son of Mr. Louis Lehnhart of this city, one of our most highly respected German citizens. He was born in this city July 16th, 1850, and spent all his life here with the exception of a short time which he spent in the West, from October 1887 to August 1888, in pursuit of health, which benefited him. His sickness was contracted during the flood of 1883. After arriving home last summer he continued to improve, and in February last he purchased the Queensware store of Mr. Frank Kuntz. He continued well until about a month ago, when he began to decline, and continued until released by death. He died at his home over the store. He leaves a wife and five sons, the oldest of which is thirteen, the youngest three. The funeral will be held today, Friday, from his late home at 7 o'clock p.m. His parents and friends have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
