Daughter of John Henry & Bertha (Glur) Tylle.
She grew up in Columbus where she received her education at Kramer High School. She married Herbert P. Kopetzky on September 15, 1942 at St. Bonaventure Church in Columbus. The couple lived in Columbus before moving to rural Shelby in 1955 where she farmed with her husband until his death in 1976. Ellen loved the farm and home she helped build. She stayed on the farm until 2005 when she moved into Columbus. Ellen was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellwood, and most recently a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus.
