Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hattiesburg for Kristen Bower,17, of Petal who died September 13, 1997 in Petal.
The Revs. George Murphy and Pat O'Shaughnessy will officiate. interment will be in Roseland Park Cemetery.
Kristen was a native of Hattiesburg and a resident of Petal for the past four years. She was a senior at Petal High School. where she was a member of the tennis team, senior photographer for the Petal Pride Student newspaper and a member of the Drama Club. during her freshman year, she was a member of the freshman cheerleadig team. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. where she was active in the C.Y.O.
Survivors include her parents, Jeff and Debbie Bower of Petal; one sister, Stephanie Bower of Petal; maternal grandparents, Col. Stephen and Louise Pawlik of Atlanta; paternal grandparents, Thomas L. and Shirley Bower of Gainesville, Ga. and several uncles and aunts.
Memorials may be made to the University of Southern Mississippi Foundation, Kristen Bower Football Scholarship Fund.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Hulett - Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, which is in charge of arrangements.
