AGATHA CONRAD
Agatha Conrad, who has been staying at the home of her daughter, Mrs.P.J.Kircher, in town, for a number of years passed away Sunday at noon, April 9th at the advanced age of 89 years, 6 months and 9 days death resulting from pneumonia coupled with old age. Her illness had been brief--only a day and a half.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday morning at 9:00 o’clock, the service being in charge of the Rt.Rev. Fr. Otto Zachmann. Interment in St. Adrian’s cemetery.

Agatha Conrad was born in Hessen Darmstadt, Germany, September 30, 1832 and came to this country 71 years ago. She settled at Dubuque, Iowa. Her husband passed away about 30 years ago, and since that time she has made her home almost entirely with her daughter Mrs. Kircher.

She is survived by four daughters, -- Mrs. P.J. Kircher, of Adrian, Minn.; Mrs. Peter Henkels of Specht’s Ferry, Iowa; Mrs. John Utzig of Dubuque, Iowa; and Mrs. Stewart of Chicago, Ill.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Barbara Behr of Rockwell, Iowa. Three sons—Chris. Arnsdorf of Yukon, Alaska; John Arnsdorf of Specht’s Ferry, Iowa. And John Conrad Of Dunkerton, Iowa.
Also one brother, John Glab of Dubuque, Iowa.

She leaves 40 grand children, 26 great grand children and one great grand grand child.

Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were John Conrad of Dunkerton, Iowa; John Arensdorf of Specht’s Ferry, Iowa; Mrs. Peter Henkels of Specht’s Ferry, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. John Utzig of Dubuque, Iowa; Mrs. Maggie Scholl and daughter, Lula of Rockwell, Iowa.

The deceased was a sturdy pioneer of the settling up days in Iowa and esteemed by all who formed her acquaintance.
