Phyllis J. Estock, 84, of Scottsdale passed away July 9th after a brief illness. She was born September 4, 1923 in East Grand Forks, Minnesota the daughter of Oscar and Agnes Elliott Holm. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for the first half of her career. During that time she spent ten years as Director of Nursing at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. After she left nursing, she received a Masters Degree in Adult Education from Arizona State University and began a second career as an instructor at the University of Phoenix. Preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2000, she is survived by sons Kurt and Paul and by Cindy Reinholtz, who was like the daughter she always wanted. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. No services will be held. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
