ROBSTOWN, TX - Irma Eva Villarreal Romero, 54, passed away on July 11, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, as she went to be with the Lord.

She is a longtime resident of Robstown, Texas, where she dedicated her entire career to teaching the children of the Robstown Independent School District.

Irma is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Villarreal, Sr.

Irma will be fondly remembered as a loving mother and wife, whose kind-hearted spirit touched those who knew her. She had a sincere love for the generations of students she taught in Robstown, and her impact on their lives will not be forgotten. Irma's graceful and gentle nature will be deeply missed, but endearing memories of her will live on, in the hearts of her loved ones.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Osvaldo Romero, and their four children: Cpl. Osvaldo Romero, Jr. and his wife Jessica; her daughters: Isis Romero of Phoenix, Arizona; and Iris Romero and Eva Inez Romero, both of Robstown. She leaves behind her mother, Ofilia Garcia de Villarreal of Rio Grande City, Texas; her sisters: Irene Moreno, also of Rio Grande City; Diana Kidwell of Clear Lake, Texas; Yolanda Gonzalez and her husband Miguel Angel of Rio Grande City; Nina Cruz and her husband Dr. Rafael Cruz of San Antonio; and two brothers: Daniel Villarreal, Jr. of Rio Grande City, Texas; and Dr. Miguel Villarreal and his wife Dr. Marina Chavez, of Lubbock, Texas. She also leaves behind two beautiful grandchildren: Abigail Gonzalez and Daniel Osvaldo Romero, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Irma Romero was held at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel on July 14th.
