OBITUARY:
Clyde Robbins
Clyde A. Robbins, 69, 2500 Rockport Road, died Sunday at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Jan. 24, 1914, in Monroe County, he was the son of Claude A. and Georgia (Sparks) Robbins. He was a masonry contractor prior to his retirement in 1973. He was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Bricklayer's Union, No. 25, Veteran's of Foreign Wars and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include his wife; Gladys (Skirvin) Robbins; one daughter, Dixie Isaacs of Columbus; one sister, Thelma Nesmith of New Port Richey, Fla.; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Robbins, and one sister, Jean Ludington.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Day Mortuary, with Bro. Robert Norris officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary 3-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
