Funeral services, 10 a.m. Friday, Dogwood Methodist Church with interment in Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation, 6-7 pm Thursday, Powell Funeral Home, Searcy.
Mr. Southard is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Bailey Southard; five daughters, Jammie Whaley of Idabel, Okla., Debbie Havener and husband, Larry and Freddie Whaley and husband, Terry, all of Griffithville, Jackie English and husband, Lareece and Candi Deen and husband, Randy, all of Searcy; two brothers, John Southard and wife, Robertha of Griffithville, Jimmie Southard and wife, Martha Pearl of Jasmine; sisters, Goldie Eakers and Irene Ellis, both of Griffithville; grandchildren, Joshua Havener and wife, Becky, Matthew Havener, Ashley Howell and husband, Jerry, Brittany Martin and husband, Jason, Jameson Deen, Ryan Whaley, Courtney Whaley, and Kelli Deen; a great-grandson to be born in August, Landon Tyler Martin; one aunt; two uncles; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
