He was the son of the late Sylvester E. and Ellen (Chappell) Seymore.
Sylvester was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and the Catholic War Veterans Club in Bonneauville. He retired from S.K.F. and was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
Sylvester was the loving husband of Henrietta L. (Smith) Seymore, whom he married September 27, 1947 and surviving, in addition to her, are four sons, Sylvester Seymore, Jr., and wife, Janet, of Laurel, MD, Dennis Seymore and wife, Beverly, of Dillsburg, Jerome Seymore and wife, Robin, of Hanover, and Andrew Seymore and wife, Lisa, of Littlestown; two daughters, Julie Orndorff and husband, Karl, of Bonneauville and Christy Hemler and husband, Daniel, of McKnightsville; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rebecca Weaver, of Gettysburg.
Sylvester was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
