Ethel H. Northcott, age 81 of Shennington, WI passed away Friday, July 25, 2008, at the Serenity House in Tomah, WI. She was born January 17, 1927, to William and Mabel (Eisfeldt) Russell at her home near Eagles Nest Flowage, Shennington, WI. Ethel was a 1944 graduate of Necedah High School. She was employed at Volk Field as Head K.P.

She is survived by two sons, Lloyd Robert (Barbara) Shaw and Lewis LeRoy (Dianne) Shaw; two daughters, Patricia Ann (Arlynn) Stainbrook and Katherine Marie Bell; 12 grandchildren, Jamie Edward Shaw, Bobbi Lynn (Craig) Skare, Jeffery Jay (Lynne) Shaw, Desiree Michelle (Ronald) Jarman, Justin Tyler Shaw, Sherry Lynn Jilek, Susan Christine Jilek, Vicki Marie (Eric) Kruise, Gloria Ann (Sarah) Stainbrook, Jason Quentin (Jennifer) Stainbrook, Erica Lynn (Michael) Fellegy, and Ryan Lee (Jacklynn) Bell; 14 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mabel; her first husband, Lloyd Edward Shaw; her second husband, Robert C. Northcott; two brothers, Donald (Hazel) Russell and Robert Russell; and six sisters, Mildred (Basil) Thompson, Margret (Rudy) Bark, Minnie (Franklin) Finch, Alma (Charles) Peterson, Evelyn (Lester - 1st husband) Phillips and her second husband, Donald Sheffer, and Dorothy (Everett) Blackman.

Ethel was Mother and Grandmother to many people other than her own children. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at the Open Door Baptist Church nears Warrens, WI. Pastor Freddie Parker Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. John's Cemetery in Shennington, WI. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Monday, July 28, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah, WI. Family and friends are also invited for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. The Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.
