Warren Bernard Fox, 83, of Thatcher, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 at home. He was born May 26, 1924 at Logan, UT the son of Owen Bernard and Elva Jackson Fox. He was the 3rd of 6 children. He graduated from Weber High School and played baseball; he also attended Weber State College. Bernard married Delma Ruth Fowers July 12, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away February 6, 1996. His early years he lived on a ranch near Evanston, WY; then moved to Riverdale, Utah to a fruit orchard. He was a farmer and also had worked for the U.P. Pacific Fruit Express in Ogden. He moved to Thatcher in 1979. Bernard had served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was a High priest in the Thatcher LDS Ward. He had served on the Hooper Cemetery Committee in Utah. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working and his family. Bernard is survived by 1 son and 1 daughter; Lawrence B. and JanaLe Fox and Ruth and Hans Mussler all of Thatcher, ID; also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, 1 brother and 1 sister; Glenn Fox, Roy, Utah and Alice Foree, Ogden, Utah. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister; James Fox, Byron Fox, Jean Bassett, and a grandson. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, March 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Thatcher-Williams LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Steve Smith conducting. Graveside services were at 3:30 p.m. in the Hooper, Utah Cemetery with Military Honors.
