Astrid Dagmar Roedl, 67, passed away on August 5, 2008 after a lengthy illness.

Astrid was born in Posen, Poland to Hans and Eugenie Stier, who proceeds her in death.

She was raised in West Germany and has lived in Colorado Springs since 1975. She is survived by her loving family, daughters Andrea Hunt (Mark) and Peggy Holness (Barry) and son Richard Roedl (Stephanie); sister Sybille DuCros (Antoine) and brother Wolfgang Stier (Rosie); and grandchildren Benjamin and Megan Hunt; Arius and Ariana Holness; Kalen, Chase and Seth Roedl.

Astrid was dearly loved by her family, friends and those she worked with at the Edelweiss for over 20 years. She was always very giving and willing to help others. Her gentle smile, soft voice and honest heart were heaven sent and enjoyed by all she touched. She will be forever on our minds and in our hearts.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of the Life Care Center and Odyssey Hospice who provided Astrid with compassionate and loving care which comforted her family immensely.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Odyssey Hospice.
