Martha Marie Vogele Nazer was born 28 September 1928 in Harlem, Blaine Co., Montana to Michael Vogele and Pauline Feil. She was one of thirteen children born to this couple. The three youngest children died as infants or small children. The family moved around some, before settling in the Park City, Montana area, where some of the children were born. While the last name of Vogele was originally spelled with the e on the end, this e eventually was dropped and the spelling became Vogel. She married John Costelnic Nazer on 30 June, 1956. Their children are Janet Marie Nazer and Bert Michael Nazer. Only two of Martha's brothers (Jake and Leonard Vogel) and one of her sisters (Lydia Anthony) survive as of June 12, 2013.
