Noland W. Rice; 81, Hopkinsville, Kentucky; died Monday; August 5,1996, at his home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, Hopkinsville.

Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Fort Donelson National cemetery, Dover.

He was born December 14, 1914, in Lynnville, Indiana, son of Matilda Wittman Rice and Aaron Rice. He was the widower of Mildred Lois 'Rice, who died in 1971.

Mr. Rice was a member of the Clarksville Pointer and Setter Hunting Club, and worked with the 4-H of Kentucky in regional and district administration for 14 years.

He retired after 20 years with the U.S. Army, having served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Fort Campbell American Legion and the Army Reserve Officers Association.

Survivors include a son, William N. Rice, Frankfort, Kentucky; a daughter, Connie Coke, Hopkinsville; a sister, Louise McMahon, Henderson, Kentucky; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
