Christoph Adam Embich emigrated with his wife from Germany via Rotterdam, Holland, and immigrated to Pennsylvania Colony in September, 1752. He fought with the Pennsylvania Militia during the American Revolution. A carpenter by trade, as were several of his sons, Christoph was married to Maria Elisabetha Kuder with whom he had ten children: Catharine Elizabeth; Johann Jacob; Johann Christopher; Maria Barbara; Johann Bernhard; Johann Phillip; Eva Catharine; Johann Heinrich; Johann Friedrich; and Elizabeth Embich. He was buried in 1783 in the Salem Lutheran Churchyard then, about 1892, was re-interred at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

A deed recorded in 1806, but executed in the 1790's (Dauphin Co., PA Deed Book 1P, pp 73-77) lists the names of his wife, Elizabeth, and their living children and spouses:

*Jacob Embich & wife Catharina

*Christopher Embich & wife Maria

*Barnard Embich & wife Susanna

*Eva & husband Henry Kekley

*Phillip Embich

*John Embich

*Frederick Embich & wife Margaret

And although it doesn't specifically state her relationship, it mentions a Barbara, who might be their daughter Barbara:

*Barbara & husband Peter Kucker
