Anna M. Theilen, 96, of Springfield, formerly of Chatham, died Tuesday at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born Aug. 31, 1899, in Pleasant Plains, the daughter of Gerhard W. and Anke M. Cordes Theilen.
Miss Theilen lived in the Chatham area for approximately 80 years and the Springfield area for approximately 10 years. She did sewing in her home for many years and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Chatham.
Survivors: three nephews, including Herbert Theilen of Chatham and Fred Theilen of Springfield; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services: Bisch Funeral Home West, the Rev. Glenn Strohschein officiating. Burial: Old Chatham Cemetery.
