Annette Marie Block, age 41, a resident of Duelm, MN, formerly of Pierz, MN, died August 11, 2000, as a result of a motorcycle accident north of Two Harbors, MN.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held August 16 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with Father Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Annette was born March 18, 1959, to Rolland and Lea (Rauch) Block. She grew up and attended school in Pierz, graduating in 1977. Annette completed a degree in textile management at Anoka Hennepin Tech. She was united in marriage to Steven Kloss November 25, 1978. They shared four beautiful children together. Annette worked at Ferche Millworks, Inc. in Rice, MN. She resided in Duelm. She was talented in her artistic ways. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends, family and special friend John Friedman, who will also be sadly missed. Annette enjoyed sewing, decorating, motorcycling, traveling, outdoors, watching her children's sporting events, socializing and remodeling her home. Her compassion and humor will be with us always.
Survivors include three sons, SPC Jeff Kloss and wife Jeni of Wahiawa, HI, Josh Kloss and Kandice Kutz of Foley, MN, and Kurt Kloss of Duelm; one daughter, Nicole Kloss of Duelm; parents, Rolland and Lea Block of Pierz; grandmother, Angeline Block; seven sisters, Sheri Streasick and husband Bob of Knoxville, IA, Nita Hayes and husband Doug of Maple Grove, MN, Denise Brenteson and husband Joe of Zimmerman, MN, Carol Block and Mark Piasecki of Forest Lake, MN, Diane Varner of Pierz, Lisa Gall and husband Marne of Pierz, and Sandy Meyer and husband Dan of Foley; three grandchildren, Kaytlynn, Kody and Kaleb; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Herman H. Block, John B. and Regina Rauch; and sisters Sheila and Baby Block.
Casketbearers were Corey Girtz, Chad Girtz, James Kane, Pat Kane, Scott Schaefer, Jacob Gall, Chris Streasick, Mark Streasick and Robby Gall. Honorary bearers were Jody Gall, Shayla Meyer, Grace Lenz, Liz Stocco, Karen Mullowney, Ann Storkamp, Kathy Gustafson, Holly Gunther and Luann Boser.
