He was born May 17, 1949, to Bernard A. and Betty Lee (Carlson) Veltman in Salina. In January 1968, he was married to Beth Ann Nelson.
He is survived by his mother of Topeka; a son, Larry Veltman of Goddard; a daughter, Lana Fahey of Marion; a brother, Patrick Veltman of Basehor; and sisters, Rebecca Foster of Harrisonville, Mo., Janet Teply of Topeka, Janell Grause of Topeka, Barbara Harper of Oklahoma City, and Jennifer Smidt of Abilene; former spouse Beth Veltman of Marion; and five grandchildren.
