Dr. Robert B. Krueger, 76, of Countess Drive died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at his home.

Dr. Krueger was a family practice physician in Columbus from 1951 until his retirement this year. He also was a former county coroner.

He was a graduate of Butler University and a 1951 graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the church's Couples Club, American Medical Association and Bartholomew County Medical Society.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Service, Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street, with the Rev. Mark R. Teike officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Together We Grow Fund at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

Dr. Krueger was born in Anderson April 2, 1925, the son of Benjamin and Anna Bryant Krueger. He married Betty M. Hogan April 29, 1951, in Columbus. She survives.

Also surviving are sons, David A. and Andrew R. Krueger, both of Columbus; daughters, JoAnn Kiel and Susan L. Krueger, both of Columbus; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Krueger.
