DAVID CITY--Ernest A. Lutjelusche, 77, of 3312 36th St. died Friday, Oct. 7, 1994, at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church-Shell Creek in rural Columbus with the Rev. Peter Jark-Swain presiding. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today at Gass-Haney Funeral Home and 9:30-10:30 a.m., with a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service, Monday at the church.
Mr. Lutjelusche was born Feb. 7, 1917, in Colfax County to Louis and Milla (Plugge) Lutjelusche. He attended Colfax County District 8 and graduated from Kramer High School.
He married Viola Miller Sept. 25, 1943, at the Federated Church in Columbus. He served in the Army from 1942-1945 and was a farmer and lived in the Columbus area all his life.
He was a member of St. John's Church-Shell Creek, church council, taught Sunday School, was a past member of Men in Mission, and served 12 years on the District 8 School Board.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Louis of Richland; one daughter, Patricia Gutierrez of Houston; four grandchildren; one brother, Otto of David City, two sisters, Martha Mueller of Columbus and Clara Lueschen of Creston.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
