Yvonne Hoheisel, age 76, died at her winter home in Harlingen, TX, January 31, 2001.
Following Yvonne's wishes, she was cremated and burial will be held at a later date.
Yvonne was born on the Buhr Place east of Pierz on November 22, 1924, to Ray and Rosena (Buck) Goergen. She married Richard Hoheisel on March 2, 1946. Together they farmed in Morrison County for many years. Yvonne taught elementary school in several districts in the early years and later retired from the state hospital in Brainerd. She felt education was important and continued her own throughout her working career. She graduated from Brainerd Community College with nursing degree after years of night school. Over the years, Yvonne enjoyed dancing, jigsaw puzzles, card playing, all handicrafts, flower gardening, crosswood puzzles, Wheel of Fortune and time with her family. She said being a Grandma was the best.
Survivors include her husband Wilfred "Bud" Hoheisel; mother Rosena Georgen of Pierz; sister Elaine (Bill) Dorsett of North Carolina; sons Rick and Sherri of Pierz and Glen and Lupe of Blooming Prairie; daughter, Lynn (Mike) Thielbar of Lakeland; stepson Bruce; stepdaughters, Beverly Miltozky and Brenda Fitzgerald, all of St. Paul, Barbara (Phil) LaPolice of North Carolina, Beth (Mike) Brenny of Foley and Bonita (Paul) Whalen of Florida; six grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandson, and many relatives and friends.
Her husband Richard, her father and a stillborn daughter preceded her in death.
