Sandra Louise Hesse, 66, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Sandra was born in Atlantic Highlands and lived in Fair Haven for most of her life, before moving to Toms River seven years ago.
She is predeceased by her husband Daniel J. Hesse Sr.; mother Agnes Sue Steffer and father Anthony Steffer; granddaughter Patricia Susanne Hesse; brothers Anthony "Junny" Steffer, Ronald Steffer, Joseph "Sonny" Steffer and sister Dorothy Aaron; and her best friend and brother-in-law, Chip Boynton. She is survived by her loving children, Daniel J. Hesse Jr. and wife Sheryl of Va., Anthony C. Hesse and wife Terri of N.J., Stephanie Streett and husband Rob of Ariz., and Christiane Hesse-Tavares of N.J.; grandchildren, Gary and Anthony Hulse, Christian Tavares, Ava Hesse, Alexa Hesse, and Hunter and Payton Streett; brothers and sisters Dolly Gammel of N.J., Doris Nelson of N.Y., Anna Boynton of N.J., Patricia Craig of Fla., Robert Steffer of Fla., Richard Steffer of Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank.
