KOCH - Funeral services for Mrs. Otto (Nora) Koch, 87, of Rt. 1 Columbus will held at 1:30 p.m. at Gass-Haney funeral Home and at St. John's Lutheran Church of Shell Creek at 2 p.m. The Rev. L. E. Mortensen will officiate.
Mrs. Koch died Friday morning at Columbus Community Hospital. The body will lie in state after 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Gass-Haney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Koch was born Dec. 18, 1891 in Colfax County to John and Helena Will Henke. A lifetime resident of Colfax and Platte Counties, she received her education in Colfax County.
She married Otto H. Koch on March 24, 1925 at St Johns Lutheran Church, Shell Creek and was a lifetime member of the church where she was baptized and confirmed.
She is survived by her husband Otto; one son, Walter J. of Columbus; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Delores) Kallweit, Platte Center, Mrs. Richard (Elaine) Freudenburg, Madison, Mrs. Frank (Phyllis) Kasal, Rogers; 20 grand children; five great-grand children; one brother, Elton Henke, Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Louis (Antonia) Folken, Schuyler, Mrs. John (Leona) Folken, Schuyler, Mrs. Emil (Marie) Schaefer, Columbus.
She was preceded in death by a son, Hugo; daughter Norma; one grandson; four sisters; and two brothers.
