Silvia Maria Luise Drake, nee Reutter, passed away peacefully on September 23rd, 2005.
Silvia was born in Lundenburg, Czech on November 5th, 1944 and grew up in and around the Stuttgart, Germany area. Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend was predeceased by her father, Martin Reutter, brother, Manfred Reutter and mother, Edith Reutter Ross.
Silvia is survived by her earth angels - son, Steven Drake, his wife, Morgan and their children Chloe and Gregory; daughter, Monika Velez, her husband Robert and their son, David and by her loving husband George Drake. Silvia is also survived by her stepfather Kurt Ross and stepsister Evelyn Ross; cousins Erich Schaffer and his wife Erika, Christl Dahlhaus and her husband Ruediger, and Maria Luise Antkowiak and her husband Uwe; Aunt Maria and Uncle Herman Haeussler, and other relatives all living in Germany.
Silvia was the office manager for the State Farm Insurance Drake Agency and a resident of El Paso for the past 28 years. Silvia was a member of many civic organizations and area clubs.
She is a Past High Priestess of El Minya Court 46, Ladies Oriental Shrine of NA, Past Chairman-Director of the Woman's Department El Paso Greater Chamber of Commerce, Past President-elect of the El Paso Woman's Club, a member of the VFW Women's Auxillary, El Paso Art Association, the Germania Club, El Paso Opera, Fort Bliss NCO Wives Club and others. She will be remembered for her cheerful loving attitude and her signature smile that brightened many lives.
