He was born Sept. 16, 1941, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Hileman Guy and Marla Madge Cook Stone. He married Josie Martinez, on June 9, 1989, in Pleasant Grove and they were sealed in the Provo LDS Temple on May 15, 1992.
Guy worked for 24 years as an engineer for UBET Telephone Corporation. He was an avid sports fan, especially cheering on the Utah Jazz. One of his favorite past times was fishing. He was active in the LDS Church.
He is survived by his wife, Josie, Roosevelt; children, David (Kathy) Stone-Olsen, Carey, Idaho; Mike (Olive) Stone-Olsen, Carey, Idaho; Hileman Guy Stone, IV, Las Vegas, Nev.; Gabe Stone, Mark (Riley Workman) Stone, both of Roosevelt; Simon Stone, Portugal; Blanca Stone, Roosevelt; 7 ½ grandchildren; mother, Madge Stone, St. George; and a sister, Krista (Robert) Robertson, Provo.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Roosevelt 1st Ward LDS Chapel. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hullinger Mortuary and from 9-9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
