Anthony Philip "Tony" Endres, age 38, of Mazomanie, WI died at home Sept. 19, 1999 after a courageous battle of seven years with leukemia and renal failure. He was born in Madison, WI on Nov. 22, 1960, the son of Philip and Mary (Fangmeier) Endres. Tony was an avid hunter, fisherman and gambler and lived life to the fullest. He was employed for many years as a painter at Cuna Mutual. He was a Mazomanie Village board Trustee and a Mazomanie Volunteer Fireman, a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Wisconsin Heights Youth and Varsity Wrestling Club, Mustangs Booster Club, Wisconsin River Sportsman's Club, and Wild West Days Association. He is survived by a daughter, Michelle Endres of Mazomanie, WI; his parents, Phil and Mary Endres of Mazomanie, WI; four sisters, Julie (Dennis) Maier of Mazomanie, WI, Patty (Dale) Sutton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Jeanine (Jerry) Acker of Middleton, WI, and Tara (Greg) Roessler of Mazomanie WI; a brother, Daryl (Julie) Endres of Black Earth, WI; his grandmother, Lucille Fangmeier of Black Earth, WI; nieces and nephews, Jolene, Stephanie and Amber Maier, Robbie Sutton, Cory, Kelli and Allison Acker, and Janelle and Jenna Endres; aunts, uncles and cousins; and loving friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Fangmeier, and Louise and Anthony Endres. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, Mazomanie with Father Kevin Dooley and Father Charles Schluter con-celebrating. Burial in St. Barnabas Cemetery. Gnewikow-Hooverson Funeral Home assisted the family.
