Ramona Lee Napp, 75, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Alton memorial Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born February 7, 1933 in Alton to LeeRoy and Velma (King) Renfro. She married H.A. Bud Napp on May 10, 1953 at the First Methodist Church in Alton. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before he died on January 10, 2004.

She graduated from Alton High School and worked at the Shearburn Company and Monticello College. She had a lifelong passion for swimming, serving as a lifeguard, instructor and competing as a synchronized swimmer. She was a member of the Godfrey Community Congregational United Church of Christ. She was a wonderful cook and a consummate gardener.

Surviving, a son and his wife, Allan L. and Honorable Kyle A. Napp; three grandchildren whom she adored, Ian, Aidan and Grace Napp; a sister-in-law, Mary E. Blanchard of Bull Shoals, Arkansas. She was blessed with the lifelong friendship of Beverly Herzog and Donna McCoy, both of Godfrey.

Services were entrusted to Gent Funeral Home of Alton, Illinois.
