Mrs. Kobus had retired as a secretary from Virginia Panel and was a member of Rockfish Presbyterian Church in Nellysford. A past member of the Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce having served as a secretary, she also enjoyed nature and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Reinhold O. Kobus; a son, Robert H. Kobus; and a brother, Elton Lane, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Frederick R. Kobus of Afton; a brother, William O. Lane of Afton; a sister, Margaret Williams of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Eric Kobus, Darryl Kobus and Cindy Zak; four great grandchildren, Austin Kobus, Eric Kobus, Jr., Helen Zak and Ryan Zak.
