The records in the first Protestant Church Archives, in New Braunfels, Texas indicate Robert Bernhard Jonas born October 2, 1864 in Blanco County and baptized June 6, 1865. Parents: Karl M. H. Jonas aus Wilmersdorf, Kries Brandenburg, Rgbzk Potsdam and Christine Sophie Gleich aus Hoppenstadt Prov. Sachen, Kgr. Preussen.

*Mrs. Pauline Jonas was the sister-in-law of Carl Jonas, his brother Wilhelm's wife.

He never married.

This story was given to me in a box of papers inherited from Fred Jonas. He aquired a lot of family notes from several Jonas descendants. This story was from a hand written diary by Richard Holden Fischer's mother. Decendants of Adella Jonas Fischer, daughter of Karl Jonas, Sr.:
A pal of his was bit by a rattler. Robert cut the wound with his razor, sucked out the poison and saved his pal's life. Later Robert was poisoned when he shaved with the same razor and died.
