Entered into eternal rest on the morning of March 13, 2002, James Edward Rose, Sr., husband of Pamela Youmans Rose. Residence, Johns Island, S.C.

The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. James Rose are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Friday morning, March 15, 2002 at 11 o'clock. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at STUHR'S WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Friday morning from 10 o'clock until time of service.

Mr. Rose was born in Morris, Ill., the son of William Edward Rose and Ramona Lutomski Rose.

He was a retired pipe fitter with the Braswell Shipyard.

Surviving are his wife of Johns Island, S.C.; one son, James Edward Rose, Jr., of Garden City, S.C.; four daughters, Vickie Meckins of Summerville, S.C., Diana Rivers of Charleston, S.C., Kim Hayes of Johns Island, S.C., and Shellie Rosenberg of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Shirley Kowalczyk of Morris, Ill.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Mr. Rose is also survived by his former wife, Evelyn Rose of Johns Island, S.C.

Mr. Rose was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Rose, three brothers, Dennis, Billy, and Ronald, and one sister, Judy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, S.C. 29406
