18 June 1906: Jared Seaman, of East Hanover Township, died on Saturday afternoon of senile debility, after an illness of some length. His condition became serious two weeks ago, after a general decline had been noted for the past year. He was 86 years old and is survived by his wife, Mary, and the following children: John, West Hanover Township; George, East Hanover; Benjamin, Christian and Mrs. J.H. Eckert, of this city; Mrs. Mary Kreiser, West Hanover and Mrs. John Lingle, East Hanover. He was a retired farmer and a member of the congregation worshipping at Zion's church. [Lebanon Daily News]
