Daughter of Milan and Hazel Johnson survived by her husband, Sigmund Sommerfeld, brother Joseph Johnson, two daughters, Lisa Sommerfeld, Elisabeth Harrison, son-in-law, Michael Harrison, two grandchildren, Olivia Monet and Gabriel with another grandson, Myles expected to be born in August, and many extended family members.

Janice grew up as a good old fashioned country girl in Grantsville at the historical Johnson house on Center Street with her six siblings and beloved parents. She was the editor for the school paper in High School.

She attended college with a scholarship to Utah State University, then transferred to the U of U where she specialized in Speech Therapy/Audiology and had many wonderful experiences working with very special children.

Janice was extremely talented musically, played guitar, loved to dance, and had the voice of an angel. Known for her charisma and free spirit, it's no wonder that she is a horse lover. She performed with her trick horse, Harry all over the state.

Of all her accomplishments, Janice will always be remembered most for her caring and giving nature. She had a heart of gold. Even with all the health ailments she had to endure throughout her lifetime, she would sacrifice everything she had to give to those she loved.

Everyone who knew Janice loved her dearly and will forever. 'Til we meet again. We love and miss you mom. Please come visit us in our Dreams.

Funeral Services were held at Grantsville City Cemetery on Saturday, May 31 at 1 p.m.
