He then was an art and science teacher at Chaffee High School in Chaffee, MO, and later was a driver with Southeast Missouri Hospital Shuttle Bus.
He attended First Baptist Church in Chaffee.
He was a member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include two sisters, Glendola Shell of Scott City, MO and Bernadean Kerley of Chaffee, MO.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
There is no service scheduled. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
