Memorial services for Riley Warren Slack, 69, of Branson, will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 10, 2008, at Faith Lutheran Church, in Branson, with the Rev. Michael Wanner officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home, in Branson.
He died Nov. 7, 2008, at Skaggs Community Health Center, in Branson.
He was born June 9, 1939, in Kearney, Neb., son of Charles and Laura Read Slack. He was a United States Naval veteran and a retired meat cutter with Safeway. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and had been a resident of the area the past nine years. He married Patricia Milius in 1959.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chester Slack, Donald Slack, Merl Slack, Earl Slack, and Charles Slack; and sisters Elnora Camp, Bertha Holt, Frances Honse, Vera Tappen and Betty Eggers.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of the home; daughters, Vicki Lewis, and husband, Letteer, and Lori Johnson, and husband, Buttons, all of Frankfort, Ind.; brothers, Raymond Slack, of Gothensburg, Neb., and Roy Slack, of Aurora, Colo.; sisters, Mae Humrich, of Gothensburg, Neb., and Nancy Cox, of Denver; and six grandchildren.
