GUY FOSTER

Guy Foster, son of A.D. and Lavina Foster, was born in Lucas County, January 20, 1887, and departed this life Friday, April 16, 1965, at the Bell Rest Home. He had been in ill health for some time but was able to maintain his home unitl seven weeks ago.

Mr. Foster was united in marriage to Ella Mae Shore November 6, 1907, who passed away in 1938. They were the parents of six sons, four of whom are living: Melvin of Milwaukee, Wisc.; Clinton of Praiire du Chien, Wisc.; Rex of Milwaukee, Ore.; Robert of Newton, Iowa.

Guy has lived in Lucas County the greater part of his life following various trades; farming, carpentry, mining and was employed in various dairy industries. At the time of his retirement in 1952 he was with the Knapp Dairy. Guy was of a quiet, retiring nature but made many friends.

He is survived by his four sons and thirteen grandchildren of whom he was very proud and from whom he derived a great deal of pleasure. It was during the year of 1930 that Guy joined the membership of the Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two sons; Neil and Harold; two sisters; Candace and Cleta; two brothers; Roscoe and Clyde. Besides his family Guy will be missed by many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, April 19, 1965, at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. The Rev. Homer E. Max officiated at the services. Interment was at Oxford Cemetery.
