Lawrence Thomas Killian, 84, Fosston, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1992, in the Fosston Municipal Nursing Home.

Lawrence Thomas Killian was born Jan. 16, 1908, Gregory Township, Mahnomen County, the son of Thomas and Lorene Killian. He attended adult agricultural school in Fosston. He married Fern Jordan, on May 27, 1936, in Fosston, and they farmed in Gregory Township: He was a former member of the Land O' Lakes Agriculture Service Board of Directors, Fosston. He was presented the first Corn King award.

Survivors are his wife; sons, Thomas, Dennis, and Donald , all of Fosston, and Larry, Plummer, Minn.; daughters Patricia (Mrs. James) Steinle, Rogers, Minn., Margaret (Mrs. Gale) Cheney, Anoka, Minn., Cecilia (Mrs. David) Nelson, Red Lake Falls, and Mary (Mrs. Gary) Altepeter, Moorhead; 30 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Erickson, Minneapolis, Anges Theis, McIntosh, Minn., Geraldine (Mrs. Emmett) Hope, Roseville, Minn., and Vera (Mrs. Steve) Schulte, Roseville; brothers, Leo, Bemidji, and Gerald, Oregon City, Ore.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brother, Camillus, and stepsisters, Betty and Virgina and a nephew, James.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fosston.

Visitation: 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, with 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home, Fosston.

Burial: Hansville Cemetery rural Fosston.
