Luella Ruby (Koch) Robinson, daughter of Paul and Marie Koch, was born October 27, 1923, and passed away at her home in Battle Creek, October 30, 1951, aged 28 years and 4 days. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Battle Creek, Iowa.


She attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Grant Township, Ida County, Iowa, for grade school work and then Ida Grove High School, graduating with the Class of 1941. She received a teaching certificate and taught in several Ida County rural schools, including Grant Center Country School. In April 1946, both she and her husband became members of the Presbyterian Church.

She married Cleo F. Robinson of Battle Creek, which has since been her home. Luella was known as "Cookie," and endeared herself to all who knew her, by her friendliness and helpfulness.

Survivors include her husband, Cleo Forrest Robinson; 2 sons, Veryl Dean, age 8 years, and Kenneth Arlan, age 5; her mother, Marie Koch of Ida Grove; 4 sisters, Malinda Koch, Hedwig Abbe, Selma Fredricks, all of Ida Grove; and Marjorie Germeroth of Denison, Iowa; 3 brothers, Rudie, Donald of Ida Grove, and Albrecht Koch of Charter Oak, Iowa, and a number of other relatives.

Her father, Paul Koch; 3 sisters and 5 brothers preceded her in death.
