Mutz, age 82, passed away in Boise where he had recently moved to be closer to his family. He was the son of Edward H. and Rosa Maria (Holz) Pageler. He served in the US Army on Okinawa, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He married Elva Ilene Freel on October 1, 1951, in Huntsville, Arkansas. Survivors include his children, Doug Pägeler, Mike Pägeler, and Dana Cohen, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his brothers, Harold Pägeler and Harry Pägeler. Funeral services were held at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. Burial was in Wamego City Cemetery.
