Mrs. Stewart was born March 10, 1935, in Columbus, Wis., to parents Rudolph and Elva (Warn) Gruenert. On June 21, 1952, she married Lawrence Stewart in Spring Green, Wis.
She was a homemaker and a mother, who enjoyed sewing, reading, riding horses, animals and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Stewart of Madras; son, Gerald Stewart of Madras; daughters, Mary Jo Stewart of Stoughton, Wis., and Debra Cook of Madras; brothers, Jim, Fred, Mike and Richard Gruenert, all of Wisconsin; sisters, Louise Klang, Bonnie Small, Rita Zagroba and Lola Geibol, all of Wisconsin; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 8, at Bel-Air Colonial Chapel in Madras, with burial at Mt. Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Madras.
