Archie was born to Archie Lee Martin, Sr. and Susie Myrle Fuller Martin Hauger. He married Jackie Sue Bennett.

She survives along with two sons, Brandon (Jeanine) Martin & Alan (Melinda) Martin; one daughter, Tanya (Kyle) Dill; stepfather, Alan C. Hauger; two sisters, Earnestine Sherrill & Paule Mitze Helt; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William Paul & Raymond “Tuck” Martin.
